Resident Evil: Interactive trailer
Capcom USA and Capcom Japan was skeptical, but gave us a shot. In partnership with GameTrailers.com we created the world’s first interactive trailer. By breaking the frame, shaking your browser and forcing the user to help ward off the zombies using our website shooting mechanic — we created a truly unique experience that’s been called “the future of game advertising.”
I work very closely with the engineer at Gametrailer, they kindly gave us full access to the page that allow us to do whatever we wanted. I work with a 3d artist that was giving me rough video of zombies. After a lot of filters and tricks in After Effects, the video were ready to be loaded into my flash container. ESRB made us tint the blood in black at the last minute.
